Southam Union, County of Warwick
At a meeting of the Owners of property in this Parish legally entitled to vote in person or by proxy and of the ratepayers therein, held at the Institutional School room in this Parish on Tuesday the 22nd day of April 1851 pursuant to notice of such meeting duly published and given on Monday seventh day of April instant

It was resolved that the Churchwardens and Overseers shall and they are hereby required to borrow the sum of One hundred and twenty pounds as a fund for defraying the Expenses of the emigration of poor persons having settlements in this Parish and being willing to emigrate to be charged upon the rates raised or to be raised for the Relief of the poor in this parish and to be repaid by five [?equal?] annual installments of twenty four pounds each with interest not exceeding [capital script L with 2 horizontal lines through it] 5 percent per annum and to be applied under such rules, orders and regulations as the [C__________?] for administering the laws for Relief of the poor in England shall in that behalf direct.
